During Prohibition women were positively encouraged to drink, and the restrooms provided for them were called powder rooms (where they powdered their noses, presumably.) The name stuck and now the room, often for guests, with a toilet and sink, but without a shower or bath, is called a powder room. The meaning is meant to allude to another time and moment in fashion, and the classic styling of the 1940s-1950s. Serpenti is on an undying request to remake and resurrect treasured fashion trends of the past and modernize them for the modern woman.
The Powder Room Panty is made from a white glitter tulle, with cotton lace trim at the hem of the ruffle that continues from the front onto the back of the garment. There is thin elastic at the waistband, as well as a built in white tulle liner for added coverage. The Panty is still semi transparent through please note.
